The Tretyakov's Gallery, Moscow
The most influential speeches of the 20th century formed the core of the ceremony. Blended with elements of physical theatre, music, and light, these spoken words became a powerful manifesto of free thought, truth, and creative expression. The "Made in Russia" award became a truly special event in every aspect—starting with a reimagined list of nominations and culminating in the awards ceremony held at the New Tretyakov Gallery. Marking the centenary of the October Revolution, we reflected deeply on the hundred years of life the country had experienced—on how its people had been inspired by a wide array of slogans, often diametrically opposed in both their political charge and social fervor. We concluded that traditional, ceremonial awards had run their course. Instead, we created an award-turned-performance—a spectacle dedicated to the most significant texts and manifestos of the past century. This innovative show was conceived by director and producer Savva Saveliev, and performed by over seventy talented student actors from Gogol School’s theatre laboratory. It was a celebration not only of achievements but of the enduring power of words that continue to shape our world.
