The water laser show was a spectacular gift to all the 2018 graduates. Created by the company "Sila Sveta" ("The Power of Light") in collaboration with Savva Saveliev, it transformed the water into a magnificent theater using the latest technology. The show centered around fundamental questions: How can one find happiness? Where should we go in life? How to choose the right path? These themes narrated the story of a teenager traveling the world in search of himself.
During the "The Wings of the East" graduation celebration, residents of Primorsky Krai witnessed this breathtaking water light show. The multimedia performance unfolded around the Golden Horn Bay, featuring laser effects, water projections, illuminated Golden Bridge, and the sailing ship "Pallada" — all part of a vibrant, 25-minute spectacle, with 19 minutes dedicated to specially created digital content. Along the promenade perimeter, 14,000 spectators enjoyed the event, and in total, around 25,000 people across various venues in Vladivostok experienced the celebration and the show.
The production incorporated a wide array of cutting-edge technologies: projection mapping onto a 140-meter-long dock, water projections on three of the largest fan-shaped screens in Russia and Europe (D36m), laser displays, lighting effects on the bridge, traditional ship spotlights, pyrotechnics, a sound system with 25 linear arrays, and even cranes on the dock lifting a 6×6-meter laser cube with internal lighting. The challenge was considerable — seamlessly integrating all these elements into one cohesive spectacle under extreme conditions such as wind, fog, rain, and considerable distances.
What makes the light show on the Golden Bridge truly unique in Russia is its scale. With a coverage span of 1.2 kilometers and pylons reaching up to 246 meters, no other event in the country has showcased such a feat. Previously, during the opening of Saint Petersburg’s Big Obukhov Bridge, a light show illuminated a 382-meter-long spiral arch with pylons at 126 meters high, but the Golden Bridge’s display surpasses that scope in both size and grandeur.
